I reckon a body shop should be able to buff them out.

Is your OCD that bad?

I'd leave it for now. It'll likely pick up other blemishes over time, so when you come to sell you can either accept a lower value or pay a body shop to sort them all out in one hit.
I have no idea which might be better financially

But our cars get washed a few times a year (when actually and obviously dirty) and waxed once, so I'm not super-prissy about appearances.

Well, fair enough. You may as well get as much of that back as you can

Knowing my luck someone in the car park where I park will scrape into my car the day I get it back from body shop looking as good as new.

There’s a mark on the wing mirror that I won’t bother to claim on and an almost invisible dent in the tridion which I won’t claim on either.

Went over it for a second time, used plenty of compound and spent awhile rubbing it in. Achieved even better results.

The secret is to use plenty of compound and rub it in thoroughly, then use a buffing towel to buff it out. If at first you don’t succeed try again, it took me two attempts to achieve these results.
