Replacement Key?

I've just swapped my 451 for a newer one but the replacement only had one key. Mercedes are quoting about £200 for a new key - is there an alternative/cheaper option?

Just to point out, that is just case and the key blade - there is no electronics inside that case so you can't get it linked to your car. All you will be ale to do with it is unlock the door (Watch out for any Alarm - no electronics to turn that off).

Buy a second hand key off ebay and take that to a Smart car specialist along with your original key and the car to get them paired up.

Good idea, why not practise it yourself?

A blank 451 key cannot be easily coded to the car unlike the 450 keys whether it is new or not.
