    No point, there was a distinct lack of trumpets heralding / harking etc.

    Well, I thought about it & compared Krteck with Big Red & got to thinking that I was simply "doing what I always do" with him, (Ie insert key whilst being outside of car & start, no foot action ..ooer) which is not the regular "foot on brake & depress" ..so I tried that with red, with te smart key right by the starter & bingo ...easy starting.

    went for a ride to the garage, & popped air in the tyres & restarted ..all fine.

    So whilst yet to work out whether it is a key vs optistarter proximity thing or something else we seem to be over that little episode (fingers rossed) ..key fob was within 6 inches of the button (press & hold).

    NB when I vin checked the new one, it failed to mention power steering!? ..which apparantly all brabus have / had right!???

    EPAS at this time was an option throughout the range (including the Brabus)


    Just check it - use your finger in the steering wheel, if it has EPAS you should be able to go lock to lock fairly easily with one finger, if it doesn't you will break your finger.
