    Default 450 anti theft solutions?

Looking for recommendations for easy fit solutions.

Don't want to chew up the steering wheel with an ancient steering wheel lock though, (especially given the small size of the smart in relation to a lock) *cough*

should I just ask my garage to hide a fuel switch or similar?

I'd have to wonder how many 450's get stolen without the keys, it must be a tiny number given their low value.

Even with the keys it aint going to happen, the scroats would just sit there unable to get it in gear or set off.

Just remember to put it in reverse before switching the engine off and no will bother trying to seal it - most the will do is steal from it!

I was led to believe it was profitable for breaking for spares that these were stolen ..& were easy to get started ?

Like I've written elsewhere, I anticipate my daughter learning to drive this & leaving it in silly places, precisely why I was after a boot parcel shelf to hide stuff a bit better than a blanket over a box.

Hassle prevention & intact windows. ..so jaded by british cops that a few quid spent shoring up the security is preferable to having to waste time in the presence of their oft corrupt souls.

Physically getting into the car is relatively easy, getting it out of reverse requires a bit more knowledge, unless you are going to drag it on to a flat bed, then you wouldn't even bother with getting into it at he side of the road.
Getting passed the immobiliser then requires you to have specialised equipment and if they are carrying that, then very little apart from chaining it to something is going to stop them stealing the car,

If you think an alarm is going to help, put in an interior space alarm, that will scream if a window is broken or a door is opened.

Yeah, it's the smartcar (gearbox version) of a steering lock prior to them adding an actual steering lock on the 453.

It's what you do - the gear lever is physically locked in R when you remove the key, and as mentioned you have to move it from R to N to proceed to start
