Just wonder if you have leak tested the pump you removed.

It was in the past but not any longer.

I don't really mind the smell of diesel but my spanner passer decided that his can of brothel spray was needed and the car gives of a proper pen&ink now. Windows open is the only way.

No, not yet. I don't like the idea of sticking an airline up there. It can wait until I take the fuel tank off my other 451 and can get connected up properly while still off the car. That may seem a tad long winded but it is my intention to make that pump, the fuel tank/low pressure pump and some bits of electronics I have made into an electronic injection activator. Not being able to "fire" this type of injector gives me a lot of headache generally so worth the effort.

Hmm. So a month of perfect running with no fault codes at all since I put the pump on and today same fault code. Low rail pressure and the bloody thing deposited me at the side of the motorway refusing to rev above 1000.

Well, changed the pressure sensor and the pressure relief valve and no difference but :bawling: it started spewing smoke out and dripping oil onto the ground from the exhaust. Oil level went down 1/4 inch in under 5 minutes. Turbo I reckon.

    Which brings me to this:

Says it does the 450 and the 451. I thought the 450 cdi turbo was a different beast.

    Need Tolsen input I suspect.

I don't mind China, they are all made there anyway.

Cheap is more important living so close to both Yorkshire and Scotland.
