Default ABS and Traction Control Lights

ABS and Traction Control Lights both came on at the same time. Any ideas what that means?

If you were powersliding a corner at the time then it means 'you are powersliding a corner'.

If not then what were/are the circumstances of the illuminations?

Came on when the engine light came on. Spark plugs and coil fixed the engine light, and the other two stayed on. Could a bad Wheel Speed Sensor cause this? Like if it came off the valve stem inside the tire?

    Does not compute whatsoever.
Besides you’re confusing wheel rotation sensors (external to the tyre obviously) with tyre pressure sensors (inside the tyre)
and anyway - If it came off inside the tyre, it would still be measuring the pressure.

Are you saying the other two lights came on at precisely the same time as the engine light ?

If so I’d say, odds on, that it was a software glitch and nothing more, you should try disconnecting the battery, leave for a minute or so and reconnect.
Then, if they’re still on, then you need to get them reset to see if it’s a pending or active fault.

The chances that you experienced an engine problem (which you’ve fixed with coil and plugs) AND a wheel sensor/ABS problem simultaneously are ridiculously low..
So to me it looks like the car has seen one error and thought "let’s light a few lamps up"

These two lights coming on together is a common fault. The usual culprits for this (in order of likelihood) are:

    1. Failed brake pedal switch (don't be fooled into thinking because the brake lights work that the switch must be ok - as that's a common misconception)
    2. Splits, corrosion or missing teeth on the ABS reluctor rings
    3. Steering Angle Sensor out of calibration or broken.

NOTE: Whilst these lights are illuminated, you have no ABS and no ESP functions so please drive carefully!

That is the third generation then that suffer from these stock faults. I would have thought the 453 would have at least addressed some of them.
