Default Recommend me a cheap but good random orbital polisher

Seeing as my neighbour hasn't got one to lend me

Seeing as my street just got rid of early morning o.c.d . Car cleaning twat-boy (hi Will) I don't want to wake my neighbours with a noisy machine on a Sunday morning. At 7.15 am with a pressure washer

& Is a clay bar pre-run really necessary, ..I hope not or I'm out.

I just want to put on a decent protective coat of 2 in an expedient manner.

So what have you got, borrow, or use & recommend?

    Cheers
    Gus

I sense a bit of hostility in that second sentence.

A decades worth, of putting up with that yes.. in the rain, snow, gales, likely missed cleaning his company car once or twice per year only, ..the hire firm must have loved him!

Also early morning & late evening mowing of grass (ocd bowling green & much use of glycophosates) with a petrol mower ...the sort of guy that tipped his building rubble on other peoples land rather than take it to the local tip..

That kind of fella., my streets inhabitants deserves some peace.

There is a forum dedicated to your (cleaning) problem.

Heh, heh, how come drivers of the smallest cars are some of the biggest p155 takers 😂 ..kinda dents the reputation of both Audi & bmw owners a smidgen 😂

Cheers for the link, I'll take a gander, thought asking here due to plastic panels, but yes, a car detailing site makes sense (that stream of thought eluded me).

He was never one to speak to anyone in the street over that time, though clearly one early morning I made an impact that dialled down his Sunday start up time...

I'd been to clear up a festival grabbing kit for my local cub group for two days wearing wellingtons that were too small for me & my big toenails were both black, painful & due to fall out (i was busy & got on with dealing with the mud seas that year) ..having let our 4 boxer dogs out they jumped all over me hurting my feet, I roared expletives & threatened murder shaking my fists at them in what was likely a full 30 second tirade (with the window open & myself only partially visible in the bay window) ..which he mistook for being directed at himself ..Seeing as he then waited till a bit later on from that point on I was hardly going to tell his wife that I was in fact cursing out our hounds at the time, ..well it was an extra 45+ minutes sleep the street got on a Sunday till he left the other week ...I mean why chance it eh!?

In the end I picked up a "kestrel" das multispeed off ebay, that takes 6 inch pads, came with a couple of meguiar pads & cutting / polishing fluids, (65) ..it's a staple of the generic polished that get re-badged apparantly.

How to go gently on the panels after clean & clay..
