Default Connector under warning triangle - main feed

    2005, 450 0.7l petrol

the main connector to the warning triangle circuit is breaking apart.
Glued it together about a month ago. But today various function stoped working again (clock power, repeater / activation lights on buttons etc.

Is it possible to buy a replacement connector ?
If so what type of connector is it. ?
It slides onto circuit board. see photo

You can certainly buy a replacement, if you know the brand name. (should be some identifier embossed into the plastic)

If I were you though I'd just remove and solder direct, and bunch them together as they leave the board with a tie-wrap for physical strength.

Another option is to find an alternative male and female connector, solder a short length of wires to the board with one connector on the other end. and fit the other connector in replacement of the original.

The male connector is the PCB.

I had thought about soldering directly on the wires. Which I may still do.
Though that may not be as easy as there is not much length to existing cables and the circuit board will have to be removed from the triangle housing.

Though I think a new connector would be better.

There are no identifier markings on mine.

PCB connectors usually use standard pitches, e.g. 0.1", so if you check what that is and then trawl RS, Farnell, etc, you should be able to find something that works.

    Ah, just solder it.

It’s not as if you need to be in there every week.

I’ll wager once done you’ll never be in there again for the lifetime of the car.

Add some length to each wire and heat shrink if you’re stuck with short leads.

But as mentioned, they will be using a standard pitch, I’m guessing 0.1 inch (2.54mm)

Search for ‘edge connector’ the only other variable is the pcb thickness.
