Yeah the £ 400 was for a major service.

I was planning to have it serviced by the main dealer anyway and was prepared to pay their prices. So £ 756 for three years servicing isn’t to bad really.

Off topic, but with some relevance, was speaking to a Tesla employee yesterday who said they'd be happy for my local agricultural garage to run their vehicles through an MOT ..they also issued a DIY fix it manual for home owner tinkerers. (how deep it go's I don't know).
    Good news though.

I'd prefer them to look (cheap & good) & not get stiffed for Li-ion battery check as part of my ongoing warranty.

I'm posting this because, in relation to Smart electric there are a lot of crossover components that the home mechanic "could" do, & servicing becomes a bit of a moot point beyond pollen filters in the early years of electric vehicle ownership, which will be reflected in smart EV's as they catch on if they don't price themselves out of the market.

Smart themselves do a 36 month 3 service plan for £ 720 see here...

    https://www.smart.com/uk/en/index/se...vice-care.html

As my main dealer are a franchise and not actually Smart themselves it costs more. That £ 720 includes VAT @ 20% as well. The GST here in Jersey is only 5% but they still want £ 756 for it.

I'm probably going to go ahead with it regardless, I was planning on having it serviced at the franchise anyway especially as its a new car.
