Can anyone tell me what this outlined on the instrument cluster is for?

I've had a flick through the manual but could find nothing.

It shows where you are in the menu. Every time you push up or down on the menuswitch on the left of the wheel, the yellow dot will move accordingly.

I've only owned my car for close on 6 months and have already picked up some wear and tear...

Never mind it won't look brand new forever.

The angle is linked to your exit of the the car, you usually have your keys in the right hand......

How can a scratch you caused be a design fault ??

My drivers door seal failed at 2 years, the bottom outer edge of the seal (on the drivers door) started to fray.
It was my right shoe on exit and entry over the months I'd caught it and bothered it.

Warranty replaced it though cos I just said it was deteriorating

No I keyed mine with my car keys as I was getting into the vehicle, anyway its only slight cosmetic damage so I wont lose any sleep over it.

On SWMBO'S previous car it got a lot of fine scratches around the door handle. I asked if she was letting the keys hit it when opening it - "Oh, no" it's not that.

About 2 years later she says "You know those scratches on the door? - It was my keys."

Fed up with the engine in my 453. I cant get used to the rough character and the light switch power delivery, and despite being the turbo it isnt much quicker than the NA, and no more useable. It's actually worse in traffic than the NA. It's not broken, I've driven 8 this year and they're all the same. In fact, its not different in the Dacia Sandero, it's just the extra mass makes the delivery feel less abrupt.

So I've today traded it against a Volvo XC90. 60 big ones, but it'll probably do me 15 or 20 years. The 450 will stay for summer toy duties, and while not as quick the more progressive power delivery makes it much nicer than the 453. The 453 is plusher, but its all relative - it still feels like a park bench on castors compared to even the most basic Fiesta. I won't miss it, just never really bonded with her - I hope she brings her next owner much joy and pleasure.

So the 453 is dead. Long live the 450.
The difference between good and great is nothing more than effort and commitment.

Put in 29.32 of petrol today to fill up and Ive been running with the air con on all the time since I last topped up.

One thing to say is that I ran my electronic tyre inflator off the engine using fuel for around 20 minutes during this period and I drove even further into the 3 bars then I did last time.

So even without taking these things into account it cost 4.28 more to run with the air con on then without assuming the cost of petrol was roughly the same.

So about 50p a week? To stay comfortable. I'd buy that
