Default ECU, Sam dash cluster and key change

Been reading a member's limp-mode problem re a different (roadster) gearbox on his fortwo. and having to change all the above.
Does anyone know if fitting a standard fortwo 450 ECU, Sam, dash cluster and key (or vice-versa) in a Brabus 450 would create similar problems?

The Brabus 450 and the Roadster engine and gearbox are identical, so you can expect the same problems.

    Change the gearbox too then?
And to think, we used to slag BMC lol. Mini, Austin 1100, 1300, Morris Minor, Allegro, Marina. Just about all interchangeable

Unfortunately yes, the gearbox will need to match the ECU and you should also change the fuel injectors for the standard 450 type to keep the fuelling correct.

You then have a combination of the Brabus/Roadster engine with it's bigger turbo and longer duration cam, but running the lower power map and longer gear ratios that don't match the engines characteristics very well in the taller gears. I ran mine like this for a while and it wasn't ideal.
