I couldn't find any gauges other than that one last night , I was struggling on a phone in my defence

I was just going for price and probably using the wrong keyword but I can't think what

    Have ordered this httphttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/prod...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If it is not correct please can you let me know as I can still cancel it.
Just as well I did not order the first suggestion
    Thanks

That (and Tolsen s first suggestion) has Truly ridiculous range of 500psi

That’s trying to work out walking speed with a car speedo

His second suggestion has a slightly better range of 140psi , but it’s still over the top, you shouldn’t need anything more than 100psi max range

All the ones I looked at seemed to have the same range which seemed a bit high to me but hopfully will be Ok .

It's better suited to cylinder compression checking.

Seriously with oil pressure it'll be bumbling along right at the bottom of the scale, factor in the inaccuracy of the gauge itself and you'll be hard pushed to get any meaningful reading of oil pressure.

It's pretty much an order of magnitude too high a max/FSD for the job in hand

Like I said it's akin to trying to work out your walking speed with a car speedo.

No chance of bursting pressure gauge when the range is that high. Mine is redlined at 7.3 bar. You should never exceed about 2/3 of the max range of analogue pressure gauges.
Normal max oil pressure in our engines is around 5 bar so no risk causing damage to gauge.
What prompted you buy a more expensive tester same type and make as in my link?

I am getting it from Amazon because the delivery will be here for Sat at the latest where the Ebay would just be 2nd class post but less guarantee to get delivered by Sat.For the extra £3 I hope it is worth it.
So should I get a oil pressure figures on starting?
    Then at different revs/temps?
What kind of numbers should I be hoping for?
100 psi gauges seem to be @£35+ just for the gauge unless anyone knows other wise .
    Thanks

Is the gauge in the kit removable-if so then could this be used instead?http://https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/p...BMROKZMRP&th=1

it'll drop to its min when engine is both fully warm and at idle.

Let's wait and see what you get before condemning.

Before I invested in an oil pressure test gauge I simply checked oil pressure with my thumb. Pressure is good enough if you cannot seal the hole. Only use this method on a cold engine.
