Revived my clutch actuator last weekend, I was having selection quality issues and the car was coasting when lifting the throttle. I was just nasty in manual, auto was undriveable.
So I put the car on ramps, in reverse ... and by carefully pulling the rubber gaiter I managed to empty a whole can of white lithium grease into the actuator.
After a few miles and loads too many gear changes to spread the grease around the unit the car has been transformed, gear changes are very smooth and it's actually really nice to drive in auto.
10 mins, and a can of goo later I'm in love again
Which is nice.
