    Default Rear x brace compatibly?

Anyone know if the 451 rear cross brace is the same as the 450? The 451 version has 451 in the part number, so Iím not sure. Found a cheap one on eBay, which is the reason for the question 🤫

They are not the same, both the links and the mounting frame are different.

Okay, thanks. Will look out for a 450 specific one.

Quick follow-up. I bought replacement links rather than the whole thing in the end. You need to take the whole thing off, but that fairly easy except for the usual rusty bolts to deal with. Nothing that a bit of PlusGas can't overcome. Cost was £17 each. One was bent and the other had a worn out rubber, so a worthwhile job.

The most annoying thing I found was that the aluminium heat shroud needs to be removed to access the inner bolts, which means drilling out the rivets and re-rivetting afterwards.

I just bent mine out of the way! It's still in one piece. Had been marinating in engine oil for years which probably helped.
