Unhappy Ode to a loved Smartie....I'm Losing a Friend!

I'm sitting by the fire, cosy and warm
Smart in the garage ,coming to no harm
Snow lying deep in the lane outside
Sun shining brightly cool air, sharp, rarefied
I recall happy days, wind in my hair
The joy was in driving not just arriving there
Alas, for me, those days are no more
I must sell my Smartie for Thousands, pounds 4

In mint condition but feeling forlorn
She sits in my garage, tyres hardly worn
With 13 months on an MOT
Beautiful, sadly, she must leave me.
    How could you buy her?
    She doesn't cost a bomb!

Though it must be hard for you to say
Goodbye to the friend with whom you would play
On the roads around where you live
Remembering all the joy she used to give
Soon she will depart for pastures new
To someone else's care she'll be entrusted by you
But if you want it to happen fast
And put your smart owning days into the past
There's a trick that might help you find
A new home for your car and peace of mind
And that's to post a photo clear and bright
Or maybe one taken with lights on, gleaming at night
As a picture speaks a thousands words
A photo will really make you heard
More than any poem ever could
So do it before to the smart owning hood
You say a fond farewell and let the days
Of owning a smart drift and blur into a haze!

    Surely this should have been:

My Smart has left the garage! Cabrio has found a new owner! He is now owned by a lady who has previously owned a Smart. She has been looking for a new four wheeled friend and likes him quite a lot. Here's to a happy new chapter in my loved car's life. Goodbye Cabrio, gone but not forgotten!

    Convertible.

Your Smart now has a new home in Nottingham.

The garage is currently being cleared and will be ready to be carpeted tomorrow.

    Thanks
