I've got a new smart TW54TWO, an old smart M17LTR (both blue metallic with silver tridion) and i've also got a Crossblade (J500ANT) that doesn't come out to play often.

And is the reason why you see so many for sale around this mileage as owners start having to top up the oil & look to offload before the inevitable happens.

Given its a LHD the cost of rebuild will likely be more than the car is worth.

Unless it's already had a rebuild from a recognised specialist, or it's VERY cheap (I.e. 500 or less) I would not recommend buying it. A rebuild will cost around 800-1200+. Seeing as fudgesmart can sell you a freshly rebuilt RHD one for around 2000 you don't want to be paying much for this one.
Not a great post, we knew of smarts on their original engines which had not been looked after very well (foot to the floor and occasional service) which exceeded 120,000 miles prior to needing any attention. The engines are pretty good and from our experience you have to be unlucky to need a rebuild below 100,000 miles.

Just an update on tyre PSi my fuel cap says the following

    135 tyres 29
    145 tyres 23
    Rears 36

Does that seem right I have 145s on the front.

That's what they originally said, then they updated it. I ran mine at 30 all round.

It's a fortwo, not fourtwo, that doesn't make any sense!

That's no longer right. Should be 29psi all round.
