After an amazing 21 years, and as announced 5th January 2021, this Forum, information, posts and threads would remain visible until 28th February 2021 after which point, thesmartclub Forum service would close.

Links to thesmartclub and The smart Racing Club are available via thesmartclub.co.uk homepage where you will also find links to our other social media channels.  In addition, you have full and free access to every issue of 4site smart Magazine via that same homepage facility.  

Our thanks to the 35,000+ users who Registered for our Forum services since June 2000 - your registration details will be deleted in line with our Privacy Policy with effect from 28th February 2021.

My thanks also to the hundreds of smart owners past and present for their kind messages and emails of support.  

We started in the days before UK smart centres existed, before twitter, before Facebook and only a couple of years after smart launched in Europe.  

We look back to the UK and international events we have organised enabling smart owners and enthusiasts to benefit from 'all things smart' ...London to Brighton, Destination Brooklands, The smart Festival, countless smarttimes events across Europe and, of course, the annual visit to smartville Hambach including visits to BRABUS, Bottrop.  Additional memories such as our Hambach Roadbooks (started long before the days of in-car GPS), Victor's Terrace Bar, maintaining the only regularly produced 'in print' smart related car magazine '4site' for many years and so much more.  We even had our panel swap zone back in the days when it was fairly easy (and popular) to swap panels on the smart 450!

We also take pride in the fact our events also introduced people to people resulting in new long term relationships and even new families!

Of course a huge number of people behind the scenes made this all possible with their untiring work, efforts, fun and laughs - we could not have done this without you. Our thanks also to a range of UK Mercedes and smart Retailers for their support through the years including, of course, smart of Edinburgh.
